This year’s Call of Duty, Vanguard, has delivered new campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies modes, along with a slate of new and returning weaponry. One weapon that features in Call of Duty Vanguard is the Volkssturmgewehr. Better known as the Volk, here’s how to take advantage of all ten attachment slots and build a viable class to take into your next match.
Described as quick and mobile, this fully automatic assault rifle thrives at short to medium ranges. As a result, you can play faster with this weapon, more than you would with a traditional assault rifle. While maximising the Volk’s best features, this class will also increase the firepower and accuracy of the weapon.
Call of Duty: Vanguard Volk class
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: Krausnick 428mm 05V
- Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
- Stock: Krausnick S12V PS
- Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
- Magazine: .30 Russian Short 45 Round Drums
- Ammo type: Lengthened
- Proficiency: Sleight of Hand
- Kit: On-Hand
- Optic: Slate Reflector
The Recoil Booster Muzzle will allow you to experience improved fire rate, meaning your gun will be even more powerful. To make the weapon more accurate while you make the most of its increased firepower, you can use the Krausnick 429mm 05V Barrel. It is highly accurate and controllable, while reducing scope sway and weapon bob. At the same time, it will boost your damage range, making it more versatile as you can take out enemies at longer ranges. Pairing this with the M1941 Hand Stop Underbarrel will further boost your accuracy and see you gain more recoil control.
Next, the Krausnick S12V Stock will provide your Volk with many benefits. These include recoil control, accuracy, flinch resistance, and recoil recovery. Alongside Stippled Grip, you will see finer recoil recovery and initial accuracy and recoil. Notably, these are all strong features of any weapon, but especially the Volk with its faster playstyle, allowing you to rip through the entire lobby pretty quickly.
Do not underestimate the power of the Volk
In terms of a magazine, the .30 Russian Short 45 Round Drums will add to your ammunition capacity. Moreover, equipping this magazine will see your weapon deal more bullet velocity, range, damage, and bullet penetration. The largest detriment to this attachment is that it hits recoil control and accuracy, however, this has been countered by the other attachments. When you choose an Ammunition Type, Lengthened is a go-to option as it betters your bullet velocity.
Also, using the Sleight of Hand proficiency will give your Volk some added reload quickness and the On-Hand Kit continues to focus on speed by providing you with extra equipment dexterity. Ultimately, you will be able to get back into the action much faster when you reload and use your equipment.
To complete your class, equip the Slate Reflector Optic. This clear scope is the cherry on top of your new Volk class in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
