If you’ve been using the latest Beta version of Steam, then you’ll no doubt have been aware of the Big Picture mode for a while already. For those who haven’t, however, the TV-friendly option launches today in Valve’s digital download service; along with a sale on games that have controller support.
Big Picture essentially transforms Steam into a controller and TV-compatible state, making it as easy as possible to hook your collection of games up to a TV and play in the comfort of your living room (or wherever you have a nice TV and a decent sofa, really).
Sales highlights include indie favourites like Limbo and Braid for $2.50 USD, summer hits like Mark of the Ninja for $10 USD and various LEGO titles for around $10 USD a pop.
