TRION and Petroglyph have been testing their online RTS End of Nations for a number of months now but it appears they have run into a few problems and have decide to postpone the open beta test. An announcement in the official forums reads:

“Thank you all for your support over the past few months while we have been testing the game in Closed Beta. While we received an incredible amount of positive feedback, the Closed Beta tests also identified several key areas of the game which need polish and improvement.

“As a result, we have decided to postpone the Open Beta phase of testing until further notice. We will let you know as soon as we have an update. Those players who made an End of Nations purchase should expect to receive a follow-up email shortly. Thank you in advance for your continued input and support. It is greatly appreciated.”

Gamers who pre-ordered Collector Editions and Founder Editions are being refunded their cash and mails have gone out to customers today.

There is no mention of what the issues with the game actually are and understandably the EON community is disappointed with the current situation. Petroglyph’s update is a little sketchy and there’s no indication as to when testing will resume.
