I'm a bird!

You can rain death from above while using a parachute in Far Cry 6. Unfortunately, trying to glide from one area to the next can also take a while. But, there’s an even faster method. Here’s our Far Cry 6 guide to help you unlock and use the Wingsuit.

Far Cry 6 guide: How to unlock and use the Wingsuit

The Wingsuit isn’t available when your start your Far Cry 6 campaign. However, you’ll gain access to it once you reach Yara’s mainland. From there, you can pick from three large regions so you can meet other freedom fighters. This will lead to a short introductory mission for that faction/group.

Once you’re done, you’ll find yourself in that faction’s main base (i.e., Montero Farm in Madrugada, Camp Maximas in Valle de Ore, or Patriotas Peak in El Este). Here, you’ll see a foreman that allows you to construct buildings and their upgrades. If you choose the Hideout Network (and you should), this will give you access to the Wingsuit immediately. Not only that, but you’ll also be able to purchase maps that will reveal other fast travel points in every region.

Other than the parachute, the Wingsuit will come in handy in a bind if you need to bail out of a damaged aircraft. It can also help you reach new areas a lot faster because of the airdrop option. When you mouse over any fast travel point, you can initiate an airdrop where Dani falls down from a huge height. If you press the shift key, you can use the Wingsuit to zip and glide.

Note: Airdrops are only possible if there are no AA guns in the vicinity of the fast travel point. Try to destroy these since these spots also have depleted uranium for your Supremo and Resolver weapons.

To glide further when using the Wingsuit in Far Cry 6, press and hold the “S” key on your keyboard. You can also press “A” and “D” to zip sideways. If you press “W,” that will pitch Dani forward straight down to the ground.

Because you’re traveling at high velocity with the Wingsuit, it’s imperative that you press the spacebar to open your parachute before you hit the ground or any obstacle. If you’re still using your Wingsuit, Dani will end up dead.
