Speculation around a Season Five delay began yesterday when fans realized that the timer to complete the Season Four battle pass had been extended. This change was unannounced, leaving players wondering if the timer was glitched, or if a 24 hour delay on Season Five was underway. Now, Activision has cleared up the confusion surrounding the release of the upcoming season.
Activision confirms Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season Five delay
The announcement of the changed Season Five release date was shared on the official Call of Duty Twitter page. There, fans were informed that Season Five will now kick off on August 12, which is a day after the initial release date.
It is unknown why the developers chose to delay the Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season Five update. Perhaps there were some last minute adjustments or issues with implementation. Thankfully, you will not have to wait much longer to try out what Season Five has to offer. However, if you still have not finished the Season Four battle pass, you are in luck. You now have an extra opportunity to unlock more of the rewards that are on offer.
