Grime is a Souls-like Metroidvania. As such, players are expected to backtrack to areas that they’ve previously visited. Unfortunately, the game has an extremely restrictive system that’s further bogged down by navigation woes. In any case, here’s our Grime fast traveling guide to help you learn more about the Nervepass and other means of teleportation.

Grime: Fast travel guide — The Nervepass and teleporting to various areas
Grime has a few ways for you to quickly return to certain areas. One method is by using Levolam Dust, an item that allows you to teleport back to the last Surrogate (i.e., save point) that you used.
This item can be found as a collectible in various parts of the map. Alternatively, you can purchase a few from vendor NPCs such as Heod and other assistants.
Another option is to use the Nervepass system. These are gigantic roots connected to the Worldpillar (where the main Nervepass is located).
This Nervepass is just below Shidra’s chamber to the right of the zone’s beacon.
At the start, the Nervepass isn’t connected to any other exit. The first connector you’ll likely encounter is in Feaster’s Lair. This is after acquiring the Air Dash move and Kilyahstone quest item from the Vulture boss.
This spot is guarded by a Puppet enemy, which you’ll need to defeat. Use the Nervepass afterward to return to the Worldpillar to complete the task assigned to you by Shidra. You can check out the location on the map below:
The second exit is all the way at the bottom of the Carven Palace. You’ll need to acquire the Self-Pull (i.e., grapple) move from a boss called Shapely Fidus. Mind you, there are a few other secrets and puzzles in Carven Palace, but we’re merely focusing on teleportation means in this guide.
Anyway, once you reach the elevator, there’s a passageway to the left that has a Nervepass and a Puppet guarding it. You can see the location in the image below:
Another method is by using the Worldpillar Elevator. Granted, this is only a one-way trip, but it saves you a bit of time. You’ll find it by going through the Garden (as part of Shidra’s quest). Once you reach the upper-left portion, you can activate the device to go back to the Worldpillar close to the main Nervepass.
Note: Lastly, you do obtain a fast travel skill towards the end of your Grime playthrough. Unfortunately, we’re not allowed to divulge additional details about the game past a certain point.
Note: Grime is available via Steam. For more information, check out our guides and features hub.
