Bandai Namco, the developer of Dark Souls 3, confirmed that the third installment in the brutally hard RPGs would be able to run at 60 FPS. A rumor began circulating around Dark Souls 3 that the game would be locked to 30 FPS, much like the original Dark Souls port to PC was. Bandai Namco dispelled that rumor in a tweet earlier today:
Forget what you’ve heard. #DarkSouls3 will run at 60 FPS on PC! https://t.co/h8O21GTxR8

The rumor allegedly rose from a Bandai Namco customer service representative who claimed the game would be locked to 30 FPS. However, Dark Souls 2 was not locked to 30 FPS so it would not make much sense to lock their newest installment down in the framerate department.
Dark Souls 3Â will release on April 12 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in North America.
