Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer continues your Guardian’s journey as you fight against the Darkness. Okay, maybe that darkness is quite literal since this season’s baddies, the Vex, managed to blot out the sun. Yes, they actually went ahead with “sunsetting.” With humanity facing another collapse, as is usual whenever a new content drop rolls along, it’s up to you to team up with Mithrax to disrupt the Vex Network. Anyway, here’s our guides and features hub to help you with Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer.
Note: We’ll continue updating our hub once additional activities and content become available.
Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer – Guides and features hub
What’s new this season? – Here’s an overview of the new content and activities that you can expect during Destiny 2‘s Season of the Splicer.
Leveling to reach the 1320 cap – Only a few points have been added and it’s easier to reach the pinnacle cap this season. Here are the sources of drops that can boost you further as you progress.
Paradrome Cube artifact mods – The new seasonal artifact, the Paradrome Cube, is all about explosions… lots of things going kaboom. The mods tend to focus on grenades, grenade launchers, rocket launchers, Warmind Cells, and even Firefly/Dragonfly procs.
Armor Synthesis – The hotly anticipated transmogrification feature is now live in Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer. You’ll meet up once more with Ada-1 who’ll tell you how to use the Loom to turn gear pieces into universal ornaments. However, it can be a very grindy affair.
Splicer Gauntlet upgrades and Splicer Servitor reputation – Checking out the Splicer Gauntlet’s upgrades is part of the core gameplay loop. You’ll need to grab these perks if you want to amass more loot. Likewise, you should be increasing your reputation with the Splicer Servitor for additional mods that make use of the Elemental Well mechanic.
Override activity – This six-player activity pits your fireteam against multiple Vex waves. You’ll take out your foes, bank those motes, and enter the Vex Network. It’s a quick romp that takes you to a zany and trippy location.
New Stasis aspects and fragments – There are new ways to freeze your foes.
Expunge: Labyrinth weekly pinnacle mission – Venture deeper into the Vex Network as you try to reach the end of a labyrinth.
Vault of Glass raid
Entering the Vault of Glass – It’s time to enter a familiar location.
Conflux and Oracle encounters – These bouts will give you an idea about the mechanics in other encounters.
Templar boss fight – The first actual boss in the Vault of Glass is one annoying Vex hydra that keeps teleporting.
Gatekeeper encounter – You’ll need to pass the relic around while defeating lots of mobs.
Atheon boss fight – The “OG” big bad of Destiny‘s endgame PvE content.
Atheon cheese – Is the final boss giving you a headache? Well, there’s a cheese that lets you instantly kill it.
Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer is available via Steam. The season runs from May 11 through August 24. We’ll add more guides and features soon, so stay tuned.
