Scavengers Early Access Twitch Drop Event

Scavengers enters early access with Twitch Drop event

30 minutes and you can drop into the frozen wasteland.

Scavengers was originally revealed at The Game Awards 2018 and intended for release sometime in 2019. But there were some delays, and the closed beta only arrived in December 2020. Now, Scavengers has finally entered early access, and players across the world can get access through a limited-time Twitch Drop event.

You may remember Valorant handing out beta keys through a similar system. However, where the Valorant system was completely random and left a lot of players unhappy, the Scavengers Twitch Drop system only requires you to watch 30 minutes of the PvEvP survival shooter on Twitch to get an early access key.

How to get a Scavengers early access Twitch Drop

The first thing you need to do is create an Improbable account. Once you’ve done that, you need to link the account to your Twitch account. Then it’s just a matter of time before you get a Scavengers early access key.

After you’ve watched 30 minutes of any Scavengers stream, you’ll get a Twitch Drop notification. Make sure you claim that, because once you do, you will receive an email with a Steam key for Scavengers early access. If you’re a Scavengers veteran who participated in previous playtests, you will automatically be given early access.

What is Scavengers?

If you’ve never heard of Scavengers and are now curious, here’s a brief primer for you. The game is being developed by a combination of competitive shooter veterans who worked on three major franchises – Halo, Battlefield, and Battlefront.

When a match begins, players get dropped into a frozen wasteland in teams of three. You then need to use your powerful abilities and futuristic weapons to survive and secure datapoints. Scavengers is a blend of PvE and PvP gameplay. You will need to defeat rival squads and AI opponents. Victory can be secured through a variety of means, so it’s up to you how you want to play – stealthy or loud and head-on.
