Genshin Impact‘s Lost Riches event just started recently. Now on its second day, players will have a couple of new locations where they can collect iron coins. Likewise, there’s a special treasure that can be found in Brightcrown Canyon. Here’s our guide to help you out.

Genshin Impact: Lost Riches event – Day 2 locations and the special treasure in Brightcrown Canyon
The two previous locations in Genshin Impact‘s Lost Riches event were Falcon Coast and Lingju Pass. Those should net you 120 iron coins already.
Today, another two locations have become available and you should be able to amass 240 iron coins for the event shop.
Location #3: Starfell Lake
Head northeast of Monstadt and roam around Starfell Lake. Activate your Treasure-Seeking Seelie and listen to the beeping sound effect. You’ll find several spots here where you can dig up some iron coins.
A key difference in day 2 of the Lost Riches event is that some enemies might spawn once you’ve dug up the treasure. These fellas are lowly treasure hoarder bandits, so they shouldn’t pose too much of a problem.
After you’ve obtained 60 iron coins in this area, you can search for the special treasure in Brightcrown Canyon or go to Guili Plains. I’ll discuss the former in a while, so let’s talk about Guili Plains first.
Location #4: Guili Plains
Fast travel to the Domain of Forsaken Ruins since that’s where you’ll discover more iron coins. Much like the ones in Starfell Lake, some of these spots will also spawn a few treasure hoarders.
Check the area around the domain itself until you’ve acquired all iron coins. When you’re done, you should have 240 iron coins already. However, the remaining locations are still time-gated, so we’ll need to wait for another daily reset.
Note: Make sure that the last iron coins you find are close to the ruined temple. I’ll explain more below.
Brightcrown Canyon special treasure
If you open the Lost Riches event details panel, you’ll notice a clue as to where the special treasure can be found in Brightcrown Canyon.
The zone itself is northwest of Monstadt, so use the fast travel point to reach it.
What we’re looking for is a ruined steeple with a church bell. You’ll find this further west as you loop around the ravine.
Here it is on Genshin Impact‘s map:
Once you interact with the glowing light, a challenge marker will appear. Upon activation, a couple of abyss mages (Cryo and Hydro) will pop up.
Their levels are scaled to yours so make sure you’ve got the right characters (elemental shieldbreakers) with you. There’s also a requirement where you shouldn’t get frozen more than three times, so be quick with your nuking.
After eliminating both mobs, you’ll get the following:
- 3x Hero’s Wit
- 60x Primogems
- 30,000x Mora
- 6x Mystic Enhancement Ore
Co-op challenge possible bug
Update: Here’s a follow-up after doing some testing for day 3’s co-op challenge.
Original: According to Genshin Impact‘s event site:
While searching for treasure, Travelers may encounter difficult challenges that might be easier to surmount with the help of teammates… Once Travelers complete the challenge, all team members will obtain Mora or Hero’s Wit.
Travelers can complete co-op challenges in both their own world and others’. Throughout the entire event, you may collect a total of three co-op challenge rewards in other players’ worlds. Once the event ends, you will not be able to take part in these co-op challenges.
I just joined a Genshin Impact buddy to complete the encounter (he hasn’t done this challenge yet). After beating the two mages, he got his completion rewards (Mora, Hero’s Wit, Primogems, and Mystic Enhancement Ore). Unfortunately, I did not receive any Mora or Hero’s Wit rewards whatsoever.
Again, I’m not sure if this is the actual difficult co-op challenge mentioned in the website, or if it’s something else entirely.
It looks like the co-op challenge is found in Guili Plains. For reference, you’re supposed to find the last few iron coins near the temple ruins (seen below).
After getting all the coins, an automatic pop-up appears telling you that you’ve unlocked the co-op challenge.
Unfortunately, the last iron coins I found were a bit further away from this spot. The challenge marker and pop-up message didn’t appear at all. I even tried restarting the game to no avail. I’m guessing that this is a bug, so make sure you grab the iron coins closer to the temple ruins last. Alternatively, it might simply mean that unlocking the co-op challenge is random. If you have other findings, let me know.
