Moreover, those who are subscribed to the Classic and Premium plans can choose all 12 titles. Other types of plans, meanwhile, have a limit as to the number of games that can be picked.

Humble Choice: January 2021 – Warhammer: Chaosbane, Pathologic 2, and Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey

Warhammer: Chaosbane is a game I’m familiar with given that I reviewed it back in May 2019. The ARPG from Eko Software lets you select from various hero/character archetypes from Warhammer Fantasy Battles such as the Dwarf Slayer and Wood Elf Scout. Your journey will take you through dungeons and ramparts in search of rewards and monsters to slay.

I should mention that Warhammer: Chaosbane disappointed me at first due to the shallow loot pool and itemization. Thankfully, it got better over time thanks to a few updates and DLCs. Still, bear in mind that only the base game is included in January 2021’s Humble Choice.

Another game that’s part of this month’s Humble Choice also released in May 2019. It’s none other than Pathologic 2. This atmospheric horror RPG gives you 12 days to find a cure to save a town from the ravages of the plague.

There’s just one major problem — a lot of things can kill you. Tim McDonald even considered Pathologic 2 “a horrible, bleak, and miserable experience” in our 2019 Alternative Awards. He meant that in a good way, of course, as the challenges and frustrations you face make success and survival a lot sweeter.

Speaking of survival, you’ll want to focus on that if you seek to expand and evolve in Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. This open-world adventure game combines survival mechanics, crafting, and clan building — as in leading a group of our primate ancestors as they hunt and explore the wild unknown. Eventually, you’ll unlock new perks and skills to help out with your clan’s next generation of offsprings. If you decide to grab it, you can check our guides and features hub.

Other games that are part of January 2021’s Humble Choice are Vampire: The Masquerade – Shadows of New York, Song of Horror: Complete Edition, PC Building Simulator, Total Tank Simulator, Minoria, Deleveled, Tales of the Neon Sea, Not Tonight, and The Ambassador: Fractured Timelines. You can learn more about these titles via Humble Bundle’s official website.
