Killing Floor 2 Yuletide Horror Costumes

Killing Floor 2 Christmas Crackdown update brings new map, cosmetics and more

Time to sleigh some zeds.

Killing Floor 2 continues to get support from developer Tripwire Interactive, and this holiday season is no different. Following the Halloween happenings of the Hellmark Station map comes Christmas Crackdown, the next seasonal event. This free update to Killing Floor 2 delivers a new map, customization options and more.

Right off the bat, the 2020 edition of Killing Floor 2‘s annual Christmas event is getting a new community map. Elysium supports all of Killing Floor 2‘s main game modes, including endless, survival, and and the weekly challenge mode. Going off the look of the trailer it doesn’t appear particularly Christmassy, but any brand new map for free is a plus.

Thankfully, the new cosmetics are a little more festive. There are a bunch of character outfits coming with Christmas Crackdown for Killing Floor 2, joining previous Christmas cosmetics like this badass Santa. To provide a new way of getting a hold of these, Tripwire is reintroducing the Christmas Ticket System for players to grab these seasonal cosmetics.

A shotgun axe!

There’s new weapons jammed in here too, and we’re very into the Frost Shotgun Axe. Sure, it’s basically a shotgun with a massive bayonet attached, but there’s just something badass about a shotgun axe. There’s also the HRG Vampire, which sort of looks like a microwave gun in the trailer.

Tripwire is also quick to note that this is the first festive event for Epic Games Store players. The four year old release dropped for the storefront back in July, and was offered for free on release. Since then, 11 million players have grabbed the title there, and it’s fully cross-play compatible with the Steam version.

Killing Floor 2

If you’ve not grabbed the game yet, the developer says it will be discounted across multiple storefronts this holiday season. The team is still committed to delivering content updates this far out from release, so it’s still a worthy pick up.

Christmas Crackdown is live now in Killing Floor 2.
