Nuketown ’84 is the latest addition to the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War map pool. To celebrate its release, the developers are giving away a free Nuketown bundle. Arguably, it is one of the most iconic maps in the Call of Duty franchise. Also, its popularity cannot be overlooked as it has featured in five titles so far. Accompanying the ’84 version of map is a new Nuketown Easter egg for players to enjoy. The Easter Egg is fairly simple to complete and it transports you to a retro version of the map.

If you have played any of the past Nuketown maps before, you will have noticed the various mannequins scattered around. The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Easter egg puts the mannequins at the center of the challenge. To activate the Easter egg, all you have to do is shoot off the heads of all the mannequins on the map in under two minutes. It is recommended that you take on the Easter egg in a custom match, as this can prove to be difficult in multiplayer. It is possible to complete this challenge solo. However, you may want to work together with your friends to locate every mannequin on the map.

If you are successful, either a purple and blue or a green and black filter will be applied to the Nuketown ’84 map. Ultimately, the retro visuals which give off an ’80s vibe and make you feel like you have entered an arcade type game. The visual effects are also accompanied by a funky, old-school soundtrack for you to enjoy. According to the prominent Call of Duty YouTuber TheGamingRevolution, you can access the Nuketown soundtrack within the in-game menu upon completion.

Could there be more Easter eggs to come?

The Nuketown ’84 Easter egg is a fun addition to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Prior to this, the community was already hard at work completing the various zombies Easter eggs. Although it has not been confirmed by Treyarch, it is likely that more content Easter eggs will be available to complete in the future.
