As the newest addition to the roster in League of Legends, Seraphine is a support that is bound to turn heads. As a popstar-inspired champion, she is styled like a social media influencer. Seraphine has abilities that almost reflect this theme, which to me personally, don’t really have a place in the fictional world of League of Legends. Regardless, her kit is styled around music which makes her almost identical to Sona. There’s a mix of Neeko’s abilities as well.
So, let’s break everything down and take a look at Seraphine’s recently released kit.
Passive – Stage Presence

“Every third basic ability Seraphine casts will echo, automatically casting a second time. Additionally, whenever she casts an ability nearby an ally, she will create a Note. Each Note gives her basic attacks more attack range and will deal additional magic damage, consuming the Note.”
So pretty much, this means she can be considered combo-oriented. You will have to decide on which basic ability you want to duplicate. They will have a variety of effects for you to choose from depending on the situation. Her basic attack range can be increased, as well as the bonus damage. She will able to poke and trade early on in the game because of this.
First Ability – High Note

“Seraphine projects a pure note, dealing magic damage that’s increased by the target’s missing health percentage.”
Similar to Neeko’s first ability, Seraphine lobs a spell at the enemy. Since it’s an execute, I imagine that a lot of kill stealing might be inevitable at this rate, especially if you combine this ability with your passive to throw two of them at once.
The area shown for this ability is massive. I believe they will eventually have to tweak this ability’s range and possibly the execute damage if they truly want Seraphine to be used as a support champion in League of Legends.
Second Ability – Surround Sound

“Seraphine surrounds her nearby allies in a song, granting herself and her allies movement speed and a shield. If Seraphine is already shielded, she can heal her nearby allies, restoring health based on how many allies are near her.”
It’s similar to Sona’s second and third ability, but combined together. It’s very simple and very strong, as it gives two powerful buffs at once. Keep in mind that Karma has a similar combo, which requires her ultimate to perform. Hopefully this ability is on a long cooldown, so that players use it sparingly at the right time.
The healing is a nice bonus, similar to redemption. Again, the combo with her passive gives healing to her allies. With redemption stacked as well, it would garner a lot of healing in team fights. This ability will be the one that grants her the most ‘Note’ stacks from what has been revealed so far. Keep that in mind during the early stages of a match.
Third Ability – Beat Drop

“Seraphine unleashes a heavy soundwave, dealing magic damage to enemies in a line and slowing them. Enemies that are already slowed are rooted, and already rooted enemies are stunned.”
This is a very simple skill shot that goes through enemies. Combined with your passive, its a decent rooting ability. The slow is also pretty powerful on its own. Ideally though, I believe this ability should be used to root so you can land your ultimate ability much easier. They might have to nerf the range though, because it appears to be massive.
Ultimate Ability – Encore

“Seraphine takes the stage, projecting a captivating force that charms enemies and deals magic damage. Any champions struck (allies included) become part of the performance, extending the range of the ability and granting allies maximum Notes.”
This is basically an extremely long and more powerful Sona ultimate. Its range is bigger, especially when it goes through others. The charm crowd control is an extremely powerful form of crowd control, as it displaces the positioning of the enemy by moving towards you. Combined with your root and your third ability, you’re looking at extremely long durations of crowd control from very far away.
Thankfully this ability does have its weaknesses as it isn’t that hard to dodge. Therefore, I advise using it with a repeated Beat Drop (E).
