Shotguns have rapidly made their way into the Warzone meta. Although shotguns such as the R9-0 are popular, there are other viable options. One such underrated option in Call of Duty: Warzone is the 725 shotgun. It’s often overlooked as it only has a two round capacity. However, the bullet spread is tight, which makes it able to perform at considerable range. Also, the base stats for the weapon already sport a high amount of accuracy and damage, which make it great for peeking corners and letting off massive damage in an instant.
Run and gun with the 725 shotgun
To begin, the Sawed-off Barrel provides significant benefits to the weapon. It increases your aim-down-sight speed, as well as movement speed. Moreover, it allows for a wider pellet spread when shooting an enemy. Pairing the barrel with the sawed-off stock will provide the extra mobility you need to run and gun with the 725. Next, the 5mW laser will improve you accuracy when hip firing, while increasing your sprint-to-fire speed.
Next, add the Commando Foregrip underbarrel for more aiming stability and recoil stabilization. This can prove to be game changing if you are shooting the 725 at a short range. To complete the class, you should equip the sleight of hand perk. The perk allows you to reload your weapon faster. This is obviously useful due to the weapon’s two round capacity.
Depending on your playstyle in Warzone, you may want to pair your 725 shotgun with either an assault rifle or a light machine gun. It will be interesting to see how the meta in Verdansk continues to change in the lead-up to the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. It is possible that Infinity Ward may shake things up with another weapon tuning patch. For now however, shotguns are here to dominate.
