August 2020 is almost here. The content drops and PC game releases for August 2020 include Wasteland 3, Total War Saga: Troy, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Dying Light: Hellraid, Tell Me Why, and Madden NFL 21. We’ll also see the likes of Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition, Risk of Rain 2‘s official 1.0 launch, and many more.

August 2020 PC game releases
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout (Mediatonic): August 4
It’s part-battle royale, part-game show, and 100 percent chaos. Fall Guys will pit 100 players in multiple rounds and contests. Some will advance and many will fail, all until there’s only one left standing.
Skully (Finish Line Games): August 4
An adventure game where you play as a reanimated skull.
Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition (Guerrilla Games): August 7
One of the biggest action-adventure titles for the PS4 will make its way to PCs this August 2020.
Fast & Furious Crossroads (Slightly Mad Studios): August 7
An action/driving game filled with cinematic chases and heists similar to the films.
Risk of Rain 2 (Hopoo Games): August 11
The sequel to the hit multiplayer rogue-lite action game is leaving Steam’s early access program in August 2020.
Godhood (Abbey Games): August 11
The makers of Renowned Explorers are back with a title that lets you play as a deity. Command your followers and make non-believers tremble. The game is already available via Steam Early Access, but the official launch has been slightly delayed until this August.
Total War Saga: Troy (Creative Assembly): August 13
The Greek kings and the lords of Troy will do battle in the next Saga game for the Total War franchise. Total War Saga: Troy will be free to keep for those who grab the game within the first 24 hours of release.
Bite the Bullet (Mega Cat Studios): August 13
An RPG roguelike where you can eat various species to power-up your character.
Dreamscaper (Afterburner Studios): August 14
A hack-and-slash rogue-lite with themes related to lucid dreaming, nightmares, and depression.
Microsoft Flight Simulator (Microsoft): August 18
We last saw a Microsoft Flight Simulator PC game back in 2014. The long-running franchise will be returning in 2020.
Rogue Legacy 2 (Cellar Door Games): August 18 (Early Access)
Get ready for some rogue-lite action in this sequel. Go on an adventure, smack around a few baddies, and die… only for your child to succeed you and do it all over again.
Death end re; Quest 2 (Idea Factory): August 18
A horror RPG with an anime art style.
Frostpunk: On The Edge (11 bit Studios): August 20
The final expansion for Frostpunk sees a team from New London starting an expedition into the frozen wilderness.
Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time (Soleil Ltd., Adult Swim): August 21
An action-adventure game based on the cartoon.
PGA Tour 2K21 (HB Studios/2K): August 21
Get ready for another round of golfing.
No Straight Roads (Metronomik): August 25
Go on a journey with a rock band in this title which combines third-person combat and rhythm mechanics.
Tell Me Why (DONTNOD Entertainment): August 27
This upcoming episodic game from DONTNOD explores mature themes such as gender and sexuality. You get to control twins Tyler and Alison in a story that has themes related to transgender concerns.
Wasteland 3 (inXile Entertainment): August 28
Freshly funded by Microsoft, inXile Entertainment is looking to bring the Wasteland franchise to new heights. You’re heading to the snowy mountaintops and hills of Colorado where you’ll survive, explore, and battle your way through hours of turn-based tactical-RPG goodness.
Madden NFL 21 (EA): August 28
It’s another season of the NFL.
Project CARS 3 (Slightly Mad Studios): August 28
Race in over 120 global track layouts and leave your rivals in the dust.
Windbound (5 Lives Studios): August 28
Craft and survive on a deserted island.
Surgeon Simulator 2 (Bossa Studios): August 28
Try not to mess around with your patients too much.
Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars (Palindrome Interactive): August 28
A strategy game set in a dark fantasy world with vampires. The game combines empire management, turn-based combat, and card-game elements.
Captain Tsubasa: Rise of Champions (Tamsoft, Bandai Namco): August 28
Play some arcadey football in this game based on the hit anime and manga series.
Serious Sam 4 (Croteam): August 2020
Are you ready to take on entire hordes of mutants and other baddies? Then, it’s time to grab your guns once this classic FPS franchise returns this August 2020.
Sunless Skies: Sovereign Edition (Failbetter Games): August/September 2020
Get set for the biggest addition to your Sunless Skies experience. The Sovereign Edition will add new content to the base game such as stories when your crew goes starving, tweaks to the progression system, and additional ways to change your captain’s past. Owners of the base game will receive the Sovereign Edition as a free update.
Peaky Blinders: Mastermind (FuturLab): Summer 2020
