The leaks just won’t end for Ubisoft, even as we approach Sunday’s E3-like Ubisoft Forward event. The PlayStation Network is the perpetrator of a Far Cry 6 leak, which came in the form of a premature listing. A cover image along with an accompanying description appeared on the Hong Kong version of the PlayStation Store earlier today. The page has since been removed, but it’s too little, too late.
The cover art clearly displays actor Giancarlo Esposito, known for his role as Gus Fring in Breaking Bad, as the next Far Cry villain. There were already rumors circulating about Esposito’s involvement in the Far Cry series. These have obviously turned out to be true now.
Ubisoft tweeted a short teaser clip of the villain since the reveal will no longer be much of a surprise. At least the company is willing to play along with the situation.

Tyranny and Oppression in Far Cry 6
In Far Cry 6, Esposito portrays Anton Castillo, the ruthless dictator of the nation of Yara. Castillo seeks to restore his nation to its former glory, with his son Diego following in his bloody footsteps.
Castillo’s brutal actions result in a revolution that sets the country ablaze with violence. The player assumes the role of guerilla fighter Dani Rojas. Rojas must make the most of makeshift weapons, vehicles, and Amigos allies to take down Castillo’s regime.
Far Cry 6 appears Latin American-themed, judging by the backdrop of the cover image and character names. It seems like an exciting experience, even though the general theme sounds pretty much the same as every previous entry in the series. Giancarlo Esposito is also perfect for the role, so we can expect a great performance from him.
The official reveal for Far Cry 6 will take place on Sunday, July 12 during Ubisoft’s Forward digital showcase. Tune in at 12:00 p.m. PT to catch new info on games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, Hyper Scape, and Far Cry 6. Also, don’t forget to grab your free copy of Watch Dogs 2 for watching the show.
