Ubisoft Uplay Plus trial

Uplay+ trial lets you play over 100 games free for seven days

Lot's of choices here, folks.

Uplay+, Ubisoft’s subscription service, is offering a seven-day trial lasting until July 27. This makes the storefront’s entire catalog of over games 100 available for you to play at your leisure. It’s a pretty decent deal. However, you’ll be hard-pressed to finish some of Ubisoft’s bigger, open-world games in seven days.

So many choices

This trial includes the entire Assassin’s Creed series, The Division 2, Anoo 1800, and Far Cry 5. You might be able to pick one of the sprawling games and try to finish it. Or you could treat the 7-day trial as an Uplay expo of sorts and demo each game until you find the one that fits you just right.

For anyone with the time, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a great choice. It’s a sprawling RPG, and most of the side quests are filler, but an enterprising player could finish it in a week. We also gave it a 9 out of 10 in our review.

Some of the Far Cry games are great as well. The entire series is free to play during the trial. We’d suggest you check out Far Cry: Blood Dragon if you want to experience the pinnacle of the series.

Uplay+

Once the trial ends, Uplay+ will cost you $15 a month. That’s comparable with EA’s Origin Access Premier. However, it remains a bit pricey compared to the $5 price for Origin Basic or Xbox Game Pass for PC. Of course, to give it more value, Ubisoft also gives Uplay+ users early access to some of its upcoming games.

In other Ubisoft news, Watch Dogs 2 will be free for any Uplay-users who watch the Ubisoft Forward event, which is replacing the company’s usual E3 event. The event will feature upcoming games such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, and Hyper Scape. It begins on July 12 at 12:00 p.m. PT. Apparently, it might host a surprise or two.
