The latest Sea of Thieves monthly update is called Haunted Shores, and it comes with an extra dose of spookiness. A ghostly fleet led by the devilish Captain Flameheart is now sailing the seas. Be prepared for the battle of your life if you hope to plunder the phantom fleet. The haunting world event is live in Sea of Thieves now. So, put on your best pirate outfit, grab your cutlass, and set sail on the Haunted Shores.
Take the fight to Flameheart
Battling ghost ships in Sea of Thieves is a risky endeavor. They are agile, and their cannons pack a punch that’s out of this world. If you dare to engage them, keep an eye on the water for ghostly mines and watch out for their Phantom and Wraith cannonballs.
Overcoming a fleet of ghost ships will earn you the honor of facing Captain Flameheart’s flagship, the Burning Blade. If you can sink that, your crew will earn some spooky rewards, as well as some of the ghostly fleet’s powerful cannonballs.
You can start a ghost ship voyage whenever you like by visiting Duke or the Order of Souls.
Dress accordingly
The Sea of Thieves Haunted Shores content update also brings with it the usual new haul of pirate cosmetics. You can get some new weapons, body parts, outfits, and ship cosmetics. But my favorite addition to the Pirate Emporium with this update is the Gold Curse Collector’s Pets.
You can check out the complete list of updates, fixes, and all the content added to Sea of Thieves with the Haunted Shores updates in the patch notes.
Sea of Thieves recently took the plunge and is now available on Steam to purchase. However, it’s not all smooth sailing. You still need to use the Xbox Console Companion to connect with friends and fill up your crew. And it’s a messy business navigating those waters.
