GOG is just about ready to finish up its Winter Sale, but it’s going out with style. The tactical RPG Tower of Time is available for free, from now through January 1, 2020.

What is Tower of Time?

Initially released back in April 2018 by Event Horizon Games, Tower of Time is described as “a new kind of RPG.” The game combines a “story-rich dungeon crawler” with “innovative real-time combat” to create an immersive, deep experience. What’s more, you can use time to your advantage, either slowing it down or stopping it altogether, depending on what you need it for.

Featuring “50 hours of gameplay, hand-crafted levels and a rich story told through cinematics,” Tower of Time has a lot to offer. This is especially true for those who have sought a new classic RPG experience to take into the new year. It also comes with “flexible character development” and “thousands of pieces of loot and equipment.” That should keep you looters happy.

On top of that, the game features seven different character classes to choose from, so there’s something for all players. There are also a number of exclusive enhancement trees to build upon, as well as Skill Gestures to select. That, combined with gravity manipulation and a heavily packed equipment system, should keep you more than busy. (And you’ll need all this, as the game’s 50+ bosses aren’t going to go down easily.)

You can learn more about Tower of Time at its GOG page and add it to your library. The trailer is below, so you can see it in action. Don’t let this classic pass you by… especially if you’re looking to start 2020 on the right foot. Like the Rolling Stones once sang, time is definitely on your side here.
