Humble Bundle recently announced that it will convert its Humble Monthly service into something dubbed “Humble Choice.” Although similar in that subscribers will get free games each month, Humble Choice has a few key differences. Instead of getting a curated list of games, subscribers can choose a set number of games they can keep each month, all of which is described below.
The first Humble Choice games are here, along with the December 2019 Humble Monthly games. In addition to the early access games for December — Soulcalibur VI, Yakuza Kiwami, and My Time at Portia — monthly subscribers can also download Fluffy Horde, Chasm, Regular Human Basketball, Sword Legacy Omen, and Balconing Simulator 2020 now. This is the last month Humble Monthly available, so if you haven’t subscribed yet, you’re out of luck.
Current subscribers get to double-up, though. Also available are 10 new games from Humble Choice. Subscribers can choose Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Blasphemous, Ancestors Legacy, Phantom Doctrine, Dead in Vinland, Horizon Chase Turbo, Dark Future, Desert Child, Aegis Defenders, and Xmorph Defense. Current Humble Monthly subscribers are grandfathered into Humble Choice, able to choose nine games each month to download while still paying the $12 rate of Humble Monthly.
About Humble Choice
New subscribers will need to pay more. Humble Choice has three subscription tiers: Lite, Basic, and Premium. Current Monthly subscribers are automatically enrolled in the Premium tier, which normally costs $19.99 per month. Premium subscribers can choose nine games to keep each month, download any of the 90+ games in the Humble Trove, and get 20 percent off Humble Store purchases.
The other tiers are less exciting. Basic allows you to keep three games and gives you 10 percent off in the store, and Lite simply gives you a 10 percent discount and access to the Humble Trove. Basic and Lite cost $14.99 and $4.99 per month, respectively.
