The Steam Autumn sale is live, and the servers are actually working. It’s good news for gamers, but bad news for their wallets. Let’s take a look at what games you can nab for a bargain at the moment.
Plenty of recent releases on sale
Several recent releases have gone on sale for a significant discount. Gears 5 is currently a whole 50% off at $30. You can pick up Code Vein for 30% off at $42. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is 40% off for $21. And you can grab the wonderful, eccentric detective RPG Disco Elysium for $32, a 20% discount.
The prices are nothing to balk at, and they are some high-profile recent releases. If you’ve put off picking up one of those games, now is the time. And if you are looking for some big marquee titles from earlier in the year, there are some good deals there as well. Capcom has several goodies: the Resident Evil 2 remake and Devil May Cry V are both only $20. FromSoftware’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is also available for $39.
Other Steam Autumn sale goodies
Here’s a list of some other, cheaper titles that I’d recommend if you haven’t gotten around to them yet:
- Civilization VI: Platinum Edition:Â $48 (71% off; includes all DLC and expansions)
- Stellaris: $10 (75% off)
- Deep Rock Galactic:Â $20 (33% off)
- Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey: $27 (55% off)
- Soulcalibur VI: $18 (70% off)
- Oxygen Not Included: $17 (33% off)
- Stardew Valley: $13 (10% off, plus the big 1.4 update went live today)
The Steam Awards
There are no events going on during this year’s Steam Autumn Sale, but the Steam Awards is beginning. Steam users can’t vote for their favorite games yet, but they can nominate them for different categories. This year’s categories include:
- Game of the Year Award
- VR Game of the Year Award
- The Labor of Love Award
- The Better with Friends Award
- The Most Innovative Gameplay Award
- The Outstanding Story-Rich Game Award
- The Best Game You Suck At Award
- The Outstanding Visual Style Award
Game of the Year, VR Game of the Year, Labor of Love, and Better With Friends are the only awards returning from 2018.
