Though it had its problems at launch, Rockstar Games has applied a few fixes to Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC. Now, it’s definitely in better shape than it was, though a little more work is still needed. Thankfully, the team is aware of this, and they recently applied yet another patch to the game.

Full technical notes on the patch are available on Rockstar’s web page. However, if you need to get to the gist of it, we break down the most significant features below.

What’s fixed with the update?

First off, Arthur no longer has to worry about his health core depleting as much. The fix enables him to have more energy, though you still will need to get him some food from time to time. It’s just not as bad as it used to be.

In addition, a number of improvements have now noticeably improved the gameplay performance. This includes fixing several crashes, such as when you’re trying to modify weapons in Red Dead Online. Speaking of Online, several new items are available for purchase in the shop. These include a number of Arrowheads and pieces of clothing. There’s also a new Legendary Bounty up for grabs, with “Yukon” Nikoli Borodin just waiting for capture.

Finally, a number of visual fixes are in. It’s practically a laundry list going through the many glitches within the game’s PC version. Perhaps one of the biggest is their repair of full-screen effects and the usage of Photo Mode filters. Fans that like to post their pictures will breathe a sigh of relief over this one.

Again, check out the full patch notes for more. The patch should go live automatically the next time you go to start it up. If you need something to pass the time while you wait for it to apply, though, how about our Red Dead Redemption 2 review?
