What would you do if you relived the same day, every day? It’s been explored in movies before (Groundhog Day of course comes to mind) but man I can’t think of any examples from games.

Enter Mars Underground, the apocalyptic game where the world ends every night, only for you to wake up and relive it all over again. Just watch out for that puddle!

Mars Underground

I’ll let developer Moloch Media tell you all about it:

It’s your first day at a new school. Every day is your first day at a new school. Every night the world ends.

Mars Underground is an apocalyptic adventure game where you relive the same day over and over. With each cycle new items can be picked up and topics unlocked.

Take experimental prescription drugs. Talk to a toilet. Get hit by a car. Humiliate yourself repeatedly. All in the name of figuring out what on earth is going on.

– Solve brain damaging mysteries.

– Discover all the potential endings.

– Find new stuff every cycle.

– Talk, interact, annoy and generally bother the denizens of Phobos City as they try to go about their day.

– All original, “dynamic” music soundtrack.

– Can be fully played with either a keyboard, a controller or touch input.

I talk to a toilet every day, so I’m not sure what’s so outlandish about that statement.

How To Win

To enter to win your copy, use the widget below to leave your name and email address. You can enter daily for additional chances to win. For bonus entries, follow PCI on Twitter and share our contest post with your friends.

While you’re waiting for a winner to be drawn, comment below telling us what you’d do over if you had to relive today. I, for instance, would have used a lot less hot sauce on my egg burrito I had for breakfast. That decision came to haunt me, and the area around my office toilet, later in the morning. I learned my lesson. Please let me atone, universe!

We have three Steam copies to give away. Winners will be drawn on Wednesday, March 20.

Mars Underground is available now for Steam. Head over to Destructoid for more chances to win!
