Darksiders III Joins The ASMR Eargasm Trend

The internet never ceases to amaze me. From punny memes to cat videos, there’s never a shortage of entertainment to tickle my senses. One of the trends that continues to grow is essentially a feast for the ears.

Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is a term that relates to triggering a sense of relaxation and euphoria using sights and sounds. Look the tag up on YouTube and you’ll enjoy the isolated sounds of someone crunching on a pickle, or more subtle tones like water running. Darksiders III joins the trend, having Fury embrace flickering flames.

But Wait, There’s More!

This isn’t the only video THQ Nordic wants your brain to digest. There are four more videos planned in partnership with content creator, Ruby True. These will include a number of different techniques, such as body painting, which will also incorporate various ASMR elements. New videos will post every day at 8am PST (5pm CEST / 4pm UK) until Friday, November 23.

The next videos to release are titled Whip, Horses, Book, and Brush. If this manages to pique your inner eardrum hairs, then stay tuned for more. If you find these videos fascinating or just enjoy the sounds of fire, then check out the Darksiders III ASMR video below.

Darksiders III will release on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 27, 2018. The game is currently available for pre-order on PC via Steam. To find more of Ruby True’s body paint, and other content, visit her official YouTube and Twitch pages. It’s impressive to see the technique and time investment in order to bring digitally created characters to IRL depictions.
