Are you wondering if your rig can handle Battlefield V? Well, wonder no more, since the system requirements have just been revealed by Dan Mitre, the Global Community Manager for EA DICE. The system requirements were posted on Reddit earlier today. Check out whether your machine is up to the task or if some upgrades are needed, especially for ray tracing technology.

Ray Tracing – “Reflections Will Never Be The Same Again!”
However, if you do wish to make the most out of Battlefield V’s awe-inspiring visuals, then you’ll need to shell out extra for Nvidia’s newer RTX cards. These allow for the use of DirectX ray tracing (DXR). In layman’s terms, ray tracing simply creates more realistic lighting, shadows, and reflections in the game world. You can see the difference in the video above, although we can’t be sure if you’ll be as enthusiastic as Mister “Reflections Will Never Be The Same Again” Guy.
For those who do want their eyes to start gobbling on some visual presentation candy…
Recommended (DXR):
- OS: 64-bit Windows 10 October 2018 Update (1809)
- Processor (AMD): AMD Ryzen 7 2700
- Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 8700
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® RTX 2070
- DirectX: DirectX Raytracing Compatible video card
- Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
- Available Disk Space: 50GB
There you have it. Many consider ray tracing technology as the next big step in gaming visuals; others aren’t really convinced as much. Still, if ever you wish to invest in something for the future, you could opt to give it a go once Battlefield V releases on November 20.
