Bethesda Reveals Fallout 76 PC Requirements

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

It was a little surprising to be this close to the launch of Fallout 76 without seeing the PC requirements. Bethesda has updated the official site for the game, detailing what you can expect from the next Beta. The first stress test solely launched on the Xbox One. This time around, PlayStation 4 and PC owners can finally take the game for a spin.

The minimum and required specs aren’t all too demanding. GPU-wise, it looks like the game isn’t all that taxing. The recommended specs allow for cards like the Nvidia GTX 970 (4GB) and the AMD R9 290X (4GB) to still be able to run it. Both the minimum and recommended, though, state that you will need 8GB of ram in order to play. Judging by one of Valve’s most recent Steam hardware surveys, it looks like the vast majority gamers on the platform have fulfilled at least this requirement.

If you head to the official page for the Fallout 76, there are a number of frequently asked questions and answers to prepare you for the online-only experience. Simple things like having a Bethesda.net account prior to playing is something you’ll have to create if you haven’t done so already.
