Almost two decades ago, Sega Dreamcast players were treated to a masterpiece. That masterpiece was Shenmue, an open-world adventure game where you followed Ryo Hazuki’s quest for revenge. You can also find yourself lost due to the sheer number of activities and exploration you can do. One moment you might be beating up gang members and the next you could be spending hours in an arcade. The games became instant classics. And now, today’s PC gamers will be able to experience them via Steam.
Fans have only wanted two things. The first is that we finally see the complete trilogy wrap up with the third game in the series. The second, well, that would be remastered versions of the Dreamcast classics. Don’t fret — we only need to wait just a few hours for the latter. For now, check out the launch trailer for the game which brings back a lot of memories for long-time fans.
The Shenmue I & IIÂ duology is just hours away from going live on Steam. It still has a 10% discount for roughly six hours before it releases. Oh, and if you already purchased the game, you can pre-load assets right now. Get ready to enjoy countless hours following Ryo’s travels in Japan and Hong Kong.
As usual, PC Invasion will keep you updated with more news about Shenmue since we’ll definitely be playing it as well.
