The XboxOne launches worldwide this coming Friday. But, Microsoft has said that the live streaming feature on their console won’t be activated until next year.
Microsoft has said “We know the ability to instantly broadcast gameplay is something the gaming community is excited about, and we are too,”
“We are working to ensure the initial Twitch on Xbox One broadcasting experience meets the expectations of the Twitch community, so while this feature won’t be available right away, we’ll let you know as soon as it is ready,” Microsoft continued.
“Our goal is to deliver it during the first part of 2014.”
You may not have the ability to stream from you console until next year, but Twitch TV will still work – allowing you to watch streams at launch
Having the ability to stream and record games seems to be the major feature for next-gen consoles. Sony launched the PlayStation 4 on the weekend just gone, and the Twitch feature works amazingly well.
