In a shroud of mystery, Microsoft has announced a “major” reveal to take place on Monday with few other details. Exclusive invitations have been sent for a Microsoft “Media Event” for June 18 in Los Angeles. No other details have been confirmed about the event, though there is speculation that Microsoft will be unveiling a tablet to rival the iPad.
The tablet that is rumored to be unveiled will be run on Windows RT, a tablet-specific version of Windows 8 with its own Windows Store – similar to the way the Apple iOS devices have the App Store. The tablet would also probably include Microsoft’s new Smart Glass which was revealed at E3.
Nothing has been confirmed about the event however, so we’ll just have to wait and see exactly what happens on Monday, June 18.
