Today Splash Damage unleashed the latest update for Dirty Bomb which brings with it a new 64-Bit client which we mentioned was coming last month.
The new client allows Splash Damage to increase the memory limit to prevent crashes and also allow them to increase the size of content they can add. Multi-core PCs will also benefit from the update and should see improved performance. The new client also has an increased cache size which should improve general performance.
In other Dirty Bomb news, Russian gamers are currently unable to play the game but it’s out of Splash Damage’s control. This is likely related to the recent blocking of some services such as Telegram in Russian which has also taken down the Nintendo Network in Russia.
We’re aware of issues with players in our Russian community not being able to play Dirty Bomb.
There are ongoing issues between the Russian government and Amazon web services, which host our backend services and, therefore, Dirty Bomb.
This situation is out of our hands and we will continue to monitor events and keep you guys up to date.
We’re sorry for any issues this is causing.
