There’s a new Kickstarter in town, promising to bring figurine gaming beyond the child friendly sphere of Skylanders and Disney Infinity. Introducing Prodigy The Game.
Slated for PC, Prodigy The Game will have high quality figurines to be used in a turn based tactical RPG. You use a physical board to move the games around in, and it will not require use of a controller, keyboard or mouse. The figures themselves are made by world renowned modeler Jean Bey, of Rackman fame. The game also promises quite the grimdark storyline, in a ruthless fantasy world.
The game is being built on Unreal Engine 4 and is looking for $ 100,000 in funding. Thus far, they have raised over $ 70,000, so this project appears to be a certainty. Check out the trailer below, and if you want to raise stakes for developer Hanakai Studios, pitch in here.
