Earlier today a PSN user posted a shot of a Watch Dogs 2 prostitute NPC model who had been caught in an unfortunate gas pipe leak incident. It revealed that the models were slightly more realistic than Ubisoft might have intended.
The player decided to share the picture on Twitter (NSFW) and was subsequently banned for a month by Sony because it was shared through their PSN sharing service. Ubisoft has now responded and issued a statement to say that the realistic vagina will be removed in an upcoming patch. This is good news for PC gamers who don’t want to find themselves confronted with it.
Ubisoft issued a statement to Polygon confirming the offending lady parts will be removed.
“We’re aware that one of the NPC models in Watch Dogs 2 is rendered in a way that is particularly explicit,” Ubisoft said in the statement. “While Watch Dogs 2 is a mature-rated game, we apologize and will update this NPC model to make it more consistent with other NPC models in the game in a patch to be released this week. We also are working with our first-party partners to ensure that players can continue to play and share all content from the game within the bounds of the first parties’ respective codes of conduct.”
While the image is graphic, there’s still plenty of nudity in Watch Dogs 2 as this video shows where a bunch of nudists frolic around in a garden.
Thanks NeoGaf.
