Today at GDC Epic has announced an Unreal Engine 4 subscription plan, To make the engine more user friendly for amateur developers and smaller indie teams.  Tim Sweeney announced Epic is making the Unreal Engine 4 available to the public for the low cost of $19 a month. Epic will takes a five-percent royalty of gross revenue.

The UE4 version being made available to the public covers the PC, Mac, iOS, and Android platforms. Epic hopes to add console support over time.
