Details of the upcoming Dark Souls 3 DLC have leaked ahead of tomorrow’s planned reveal, including a release date of 25 October. The first of two expansions will be called Ashes of Ariendel (which sounds like a place to me, but could also be a person).
PlayStation’s twitter account accidentally pre-empted tomorrow’s news (that tweet has since been removed) and also linked to a (private) YouTube video. That’ll presumably be the DLC trailer which I’m sure we’ll see tomorrow.
A little bit more information has appeared on the Japanese ‘Esuteru’ blog, suggesting new weapons and armour will be included (as you’d expect), alluding to a snow-based area (which I guess could also be an ashen area, given the name), and indicating that Dark Souls 3 will be getting some sort of PVP arena in this DLC.
Here’s Google’s rather sketchy translation of that information. All will be revealed in more clarity on 24 August.
