The Dark Souls 3 patch released on Friday didn’t last long after a weekend of issues reported by players.

We reported at the time that issued such the game freezing up appeared almost immediately which has caused players a lot of frustration. Today a note from the Dark Souls 3 team announces that the patch has now been pulled to fix the freezing issues.
“The patch has been removed temporarily to fix the freeze issues. We hope to reinstate the patch ASAP. If you fall victim to one of the bugs previously fixed, don’t worry, you won’t be penalized. We will keep you posted as soon as we have more info. Thank you for your understanding.”
When the patch will appear again is unknown but keep an eye on your Steam client in case it updates again.
