World of Warcraft vanilla servers meeting with Blizzard next month

This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

We spoke to Mark Kern late last week about the current status of the World of Warcraft vanilla server petition and also to find out how that was progressing. In the interview, he mentioned a date for meeting with Blizzard would be revealed soon.

The Nostalrius team who will be meeting with Blizzard has now revealed that the meeting will take place in June. An update reads:

“As announced previously, we are also in contact with Blizzard representatives. We are excited to announce that the meeting date has been decided: it will occur at the beginning of June at Blizzard HQ, Irvine. No precise date nor schedule will be provided for security reasons, expect a report within a few days after this meeting.”

Great to finally see some movement and that discussion times have been nailed down. Let’s hope a compromise or solution can be found so vanilla fans can play on Blizzard supported servers.
