90 Minute Fever grips Steam Greenlight, open beta planned

Online football management title 90 Minute Fever has made its way to Steam Greenlight, and has plans for an open beta if or when it’s accepted by Valve’s mysterious popularity process.

This game looks to be trying to fill the space left by Football Manager Live, offering a persistent, online football management game between real life players (and their imaginary teams). License-wise, it appears to be taking the semi-randomised approach to player names. Understandable, given how difficult and expensive it is to secure those rights.

It’s promising no “pay to win” stuff, and “a robust user-driven economy” (fictional transfer markets, in other words).

You can register your interest in a beta at the 90 Minute Fever site (it still says ‘closed’ beta, but an open one is planned in future). Here’s a short trailer showing a bit of management action, plus some screenshots.
