Those waiting on the ‘Survival Mode’ overhaul coming to Fallout 4 (details here) shouldn’t have to hold on too much longer; it’s expected in Steam beta next week.
That’s according to Bethesda themselves, who put out this tweet a little earlier today.

Note the “should be” there, just in case it doesn’t appear as a Steam beta quite on schedule. Bethesda’s Pete Hines has added a touch more information about the release too, saying it’ll move from beta to general Steam release (as usual) and then go for console certification.
Survival mode update. Once it's out of PC beta it'll go to Steam release and we can submit for consoles. https://t.co/glWCJv3Nke

Like prior Steam betas the Survival Mode update for Fallout 4 will be an “opt-in” affair. To access it, you’ll right-click on the game in your Steam library, find the betas tab under Properties and choose the beta update.
