Battlefield: Hardline is getting another expansion in January; I know, I’m as surprised as you. Still, good on EA for not just abandoning the ‘Premium’ players to the wolves or whatever.
If you’re still playing Hardline (more to the point, if you’re still playing Battlefield: Hardline on PC), then this is presumably good news.
Here’s what this apparently heist-based DLC will have in it:
– Four massive maps: Pacific Highway, Double Cross, Train Dodge, and Diversion.
– New game mode: Capture the Bag.
– 4 new vehicles.
– 3 new weapons for the Mechanic Class.
– One new gadget and a new melee weapon.
– 4 new Legendary Camos.
There doesn’t seem to be much in the way of expansive detail about those maps just yet, but there are a few new images which appear to correspond with the names. The one with the trains in it (below) is probably ‘Train Dodge’, and so on.
‘Premium’ persons will get Battlefield: Hardline – Getaway as part of their Season Pass investment, but it’ll probably be sold as a stand-alone (as tends to happen). There’s no stand-alone pricing yet though, as far as I can tell.
In addition to this paid update, all Battlefield: Hardline players will be getting “a game update that includes new weapons and patches, as well as new features we’ll talk about soon”. So that’s nice.
