A couple of weeks ago we discovered that Night Dive Studios were in the process of remaking the original System Shock and today the first shots have surfaced.

Based on the images released it’s safe to say that Night Dive are attempting to remake the game as close the original as possible. Night Dive has been working with Robert Waters, System Shock’s original concept artist so it’s not surprising Night Dive are managing to capture the essence of the classic.

Speaking with Polygon who got a first look at the shots, Night Dive Studios’ CEO Stephen Kick added, “We have been in contact with members of the original System Shock team and any future iterations of the System Shock games, and by this I mean both new titles in the series as well as major updates to the existing games, will be very true to the spirit of the originals.”

Check out the comparison shots for yourselves, it’s looking rather decent and the interface has been vastly improved bringing it up reasonably modern standards.
