Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will be getting not only DLC but a full Season Pass when it launches next year.
In a surprising twist, though, rather than going “There are three DLC packs and there’ll be a Season Pass” and then staying silent, Bandai Namco have actually offered up some details on what’s included in each pack. I’ll grant you that they’re not massively specific, but it makes a nice change. Here’s your lot:
DLC Pack 1
- 1 x Scenario (3 hours)
- 1 x Costume
- 4 x Combination Secret Technique
- 1 x Item Set
- 10 x Ninja Info Cards
- 10 x Matching Voice
- 10 x Costumes from previous games
DLC Pack 2Â
- 1 x Scenario (3 hours)
- 1 x Costume
- 3 x Combination Secret Technique
- 1 x Item Set
- 10 x Ninja Info Cards
- 10 x Matching Voice
- 10 x Costumes from previous games
DLC Pack 3
- 4 x Playable Characters
- 3 x Combination Secret Technique
- 1 x Item Set
- 10 x Ninja Info Cards
- 10 x Matching Voice
- 10 x Costumes from previous games
It looks to me like each pack has one “big” thing going for it, with a bunch of little extras as well. Packs 1 and 2 each offer a bonus scenario, while Pack 3 offers four new playable characters. The rest of the stuff is largely fluff, but some of it looks like quite tasty fluff. I’m curious as to what those bonus characters will be, though, because I can’t imagine they’ll be anyone particularly important. Akamaru, maybe? Either way, let’s just hope that the bonus scenarios are a bit better than the rather rubbish extra scenarios that were in Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution.
Purchasing the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Season Pass (or buying all three packs separately) will also net you a bonus Combination Secret Technique.
There’s no pre-order page available just yet and no word on pricing, so your wallets are currently safe, but if Dragon Ball Xenoverse is anything to go by then it’ll probably be £20 for the Season Pass or £8 for each pack. With Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 due out on 5 February, I can’t imagine pre-orders and pricing details will be too far off.
