With v1.3 Alpha now on the servers as of this morning, CIG has updated with another Star Citizen progress report for the 2.0 version of the game.
This new report covers all the latest developments including news that they have nailed down the ability for ships to break up into “large chunks” after “catastrophic damage”. Star Marine development continues with news that the animations have been improved further and they say that various space stations are in their final art stages. Improvements are also coming for the ship UI to handle multi-crew gameplay to give greater control over a ships power and shield systems.
The update is lengthy and comes with a full list of changes planned as well a list of current blocking points that still need to be resolved.
To conclude the update CIG has also released some new video footage showing Port Olisar.
Progress on Star Citizen still feels like it’s moving at a snail’s pace but hopefully when 2.0 is pushed live for all backers we can really see how the game is shaping up for ourselves.
Thanks hapsiainen.
