Blizzard has announced that sign ups for the 2012 World of Warcraft Arena Pass will begin on 10 April.
The Arena Pass is a tournament in which players complete against one another in a “dedicated Arena sandbox”. Those that sign up will be using level-85 character templates with gear from the Cataclysm expansion.
There’s no word on the price of the 2012 Arena Pass yet, but last year it cost $20.
Everyone that signs up and competes in the 2012 Arena Pass will be rewarded with an Armoured Murloc in-game pet. The very best players will receive a ‘Vanquisher’ title for their own characters.
Furthermore, if you purchase an Arena Pass as well as the upcoming Mists of Pandaria expansion you will get access to a level-90 realm and “upgraded epic gear”.
