With Spore being released on September 5th, Maxis are getting gamers prepared by unleashing the Spore Creature Creator today. They have also released a video of the creator in action if you want to see it in action first.The Creatrure Creator is available for both PC and Mac and players can now start creating their own creatures and share them with the Spore community. A free trial version of theSpore Creature Creator is available today at www.spore.com and a full version will be released by EA as part of EA’s pre-order package.This trial version only features 25% of the creatures available in Spore but it does let you animate the creatures, take movies and paint them. Gamers will also be able to import their creations into the full game when it’s released in September. Creatures can also be uploaded through the Sporepedia which is a repository of Spore creatures created by the community. YouTube integration been added for good measure and a special Spore channel has been setup on .“Today is the day we begin to see Spore come to life,”said executive producer and general manager of Maxis, Lucy Bradshaw.“We’re excited to see what players will do with the powerful andintuitive creativity tools we’ve put into the Spore Creature Creator.Our team will be excitedly keeping an eye on the Sporepedia to checkout creations made by players from around the world.”
