Destiny 2 The Final Shape: Best Prismatic builds

In this guide, I’ll show you three builds for each class, including Exotic armor pieces and suggested weapons. I will also explain the general gameplay loop. I was tempted to add Prismatic class items to a few of these builds, but I’m sticking with regular Exotics, which anyone can get for simplicity.

There’s a lot to cover, so here’s what to expect:

Warlock

  • Getaway Artist Turret Build
  • Prismatic Mataiodoxia Build
  • Field Medic Speaker’s Sight Build

Hunter

  • Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk Invisibuild
  • Prismatic Nighthawk Build
  • Cyrtarachne’s Facade Build

Titan

  • Abeyant Leap Suspend Build
  • Arc Thunderclap Build
  • Prismatic Synthoceps Build

Warlocks are eating well in the Final Shape and can use the Prismatic subclass to create unique and powerful builds. There’s plenty to cover here, and with so many powerful Aspects, the Space Wizards are spoiled for choice.

Getaway Artist Turret Build

If you’ve played any content with a Prismatic Warlock on your team, the chances are you’ve seen this build in action. Prismatic Warlocks can spawn turrets but also abuse the absurd power of the Devour buff. This build allows you to become amplified, spawn turrets, and lean into incredible Devour uptime.

The gameplay loop is pretty simple. Consume your grenade with your Getaway Artist Gauntlets whenever you can, and enjoy Devour whenever your Turret or Arc Soul defeat an enemy. Use your Arcane Needle melee attack to unravel foes so they take additional damage.

Aspects and Fragments

Aspects

  • Bleak Watcher – Hold your grenade button to convert it into a Stasis turret that slows down enemies.
  • Feed the Void – Ability kills activate Devour.

Fragments

  • Facet of Purpose
  • Facet of Protection
  • Facet of Dawn
  • Facet of Balance
  • Facet of Courage

Abilities

  • Super – Nova Bomb: Cataclysm
  • Class Ability – Healing Rift
  • Movement Ability – Balanced Glide
  • Melee Ability – Arcane Needle
  • Grenade – Storm Grenade

Exotic Armor and suggested weapons

Armor

  • Getaway Artist Exotic Gauntlets – Convert your Arc Grenade into an Arc Soul and become amplified. The Arc Soul works like an automated turret and shoots nearby enemies.

Weapons

  • The Call Strand Sidearm
  • Luna’s Howl Solar Handcannon
  • Hammerhead Void Machine Gun

Prismatic Mataiodoxia build

Warlocks got some powerful shiny new Exotic armor pieces in The Final Shape, and we use one to great effect in this build. The Mataiodoxia gives massive buffs to our Arcane Needle, and our Aspect combination is one of the strongest in the game.

As for gameplay, you can flip-flop between Transcendent and Super States very quickly with this build. All you need to do is use your abilities when they are off cooldown to enjoy a ton of buffs, including Radiance and Devour.

Aspects and Fragments

Aspects

  • Feed the Void – Ability kills activate Devour
  • Hellion – Activate your Class ability to fire a Solar mortar at distant opponents which will become scorched.

Fragments

  • Facet of Protection
  • Facet of Dawn
  • Facet of Dominance
  • Facet of Purpose
  • Facet of Hope (We have plenty of buff uptime, so we get a lot of value from this Fragment).

Abilities

  • Super – Song of Flame
  • Class Ability – Healing Rift
  • Movement Ability – Balanced Glide
  • Melee Ability – Arcane Needle
  • Grenade – Storm Grenade

Exotic Armor and suggested weapons

Armor

  • Mataiodoxia Exotic Chest Armor – Targets damaged by Arcane Needle emit a suspending detonation when defeated. Landing multiple Arcane Needles on the same target triggers a larger, more powerful detonation. Defeating suspended targets grants melee energy. Arcane Needles stun Barrier Champions.

Weapons

  • The Call Strand Sidearm
  • Luna’s Howl Handcannon
  • Edge Transit Grenade Launcher

Field Medic Speaker’s Sight Build

No other Class fits the support role better than the Warlock, and the Prismatic subclass opens up plenty of options for the playstyle. We’ll be using the Speaker’s Sight helmet for this build, and it’s one of the many tools we have to keep the whole fire team and us alive.

While we lack the raw damage output of some other Warlock builds, we are exceptionally hard to kill. Your team will love the endless heals, and you can control battles from a safe distance. You always want a Healing Grenade ready for encounters so you can spawn your Healing Turrets. We also use a pair of weapons with healing abilities.

While we are support-focused, you can deal a ton of damage with your Arcane Needle and Hellion.

Aspects and Fragments

Aspects

  • Feed the Void – Ability kills activate Devour
  • Hellion – Activate your Class ability to fire a Solar mortar at distant opponents which will become scorched.

Fragments

  • Facet of Grace (as the Lumina is mandatory for the build)
  • Facet of Protection
  • Facet of Blessing
  • Facet of Dawn
  • Facet of Purpose

Abilities

  • Super – Song of Flame
  • Class Ability – Healing Rift
  • Movement Ability – Balanced Glide
  • Melee Ability – Arcane Needle
  • Grenade – Healing Grenade

Exotic armor and suggested weapons

Armor

  • Speaker’s Sight Exotic Helmet – Healing grenades spawn a Healing Turret that fires homing projectiles at allies.

Weapons

  • Lumina Exotic Hand Cannon – Kills with this weapon grant Noble Rounds. Hipfire Noble Rounds at allies to heal them and grant both of you increased weapon damage.
  • No Hesitation Solar Auto Rifle
  • Edge Transit Grenade Launcher

Hunters are living the high life with the Prismatic Subclass, as they can access some potent Aspect combinations. We use those to deal impressive damage numbers while staying far harder to kill than the class is known for.

Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk Invisibuild

Excuse the cheesy pun, but I had to come up with a fancy name for this build. The combination of Aspects and Fragments allows us to dish out high DPS while frequently becoming invisible to stay alive.

You can play fast and loose, but you have the incentive to go for powered melee attacks, and your Grapple Grenades help with that. Go for close-range kills when you can, and don’t be afraid to back off when you’re invisible.

Aspects and Fragments

Aspects

  • Gunpowder Gamble – Defeat targets with abilities, elemental debuffs, or solar weapons to charge up an improvised Solar explosive. You can throw the explosive like a grenade, and it can be shot to cause an ignition.
  • Stylish Executioner – Defeating a target affected by any elemental debuff grants invisibility and Truesight. After performing a Stylish Execution, your next melee attack while invisible weakens targets.

Fragments

  • Facet of Protection
  • Facet of Purpose
  • Facet of Bravery (Perfect for our weapon choices as we double dip with the buffs)
  • Facet of Dawn
  • Facet of Balance

Abilities

  • Super – Storm’s Edge
  • Class Ability – Gambler’s Dodge
  • Movement Ability – Triple Jump
  • Melee Ability – Combination Blow
  • Grenade – Grapple Grenade

Exotic Armor and suggested weapons

Armor

  • Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk – Your Void weapons gain Volatile Rounds after you emerge from being invisible. When you’re invisible and defeat enemies with a Finisher, all your weapons gain bonus damage. You and your fire team also gain an overshield and improve class ability regeneration.

Weapons

  • Graviton Lance Exotic Void Pulse Rifle – Kills with this weapon cause enemies to explode and spawn homing void projectiles.
  • The Call Strand Sidearm
  • Hammerhead Void Machine Gun

Prismatic Nighthawk Build

The Celestial Nighthawk is my favorite Exotic in Destiny 2. Thanks to Prismatic, we’re not tied to the Solar subclass if we want to use it and can pump out some of the highest damage numbers in the game.

With this build, we focus on spamming powerful shots with our Super and Still Hunt Sniper Rifle. The Celestial Nighthawk augments our Golden Gun super to fire one mighty shot instead of three regular ones. This effect also works with the Sniper Rifle.

If you fancy yourself as a gunslinger, this is the build for you, and we rely on invisibility to keep us alive.

Aspects and Fragments

Aspects

  • Gunpowder Gamble – Defeat targets with abilities, elemental debuffs, or solar weapons to charge up an improvised Solar explosive. You can throw the explosive like a grenade, which can be shot to cause an ignition.
  • Stylish Executioner – Defeating a target affected by any elemental debuff grants invisibility and Truesight. After performing a Stylish Execution, your next melee attack while invisible weakens targets.

Fragments

  • Facet of Protection
  • Facet of Purpose
  • Facet of Dawn
  • Facet of Justice
  • Facet of Ruin

Abilities

  • Super – Golden Gun: Marksman
  • Class Ability – Gambler’s Dodge
  • Movement Ability – Triple Jump
  • Melee Ability – Combination Blow
  • Grenade – Duskfield Grenade (You can use any Grenade, but this is an easy way to spread elemental debuffs for our Stylish Executioner Aspect).

Exotic Armor and suggest weapons

Armor

  • Celestial Nighthawk Exotic Helmet – Modifies Golden Gun to fire a single, high-damage shot. Targets defeated by that shot explode and grant super energy. Precision final blows reduce your super ability cooldown.

Weapons

  • Still Hunt Exotic Sniper Rifle – Pick up orbs of power or land precision hits to charge this weapon’s super bar. One full, hold the reload button to ready Golden Gun shots.
  • Midnight Coup Kinetic Handcannon
  • Hammerhead Void Machine Gun

Cyrtarachne’s Facade Build

Hunters are traditionally known for being a little more squishy than the other Classes. This build flips the script on this idea, granting us Woven Mail and plenty of avenues for decent damage.

If you’ve not used Woven Mail before, it gives you a ton of damage resistance, although the effects are temporary. Your gameplay loop revolves around keeping Woven Mail active, so Grapple Grenade and melee into targets to start your battles.

The Facet of Bravery grants bonuses for using Strand and Void weapons, so make sure to use both.

Fragments

  • Facet of Bravery
  • Facet of Protection
  • Facet of Purpose
  • Facet of Dawn
  • Facet of Balance

Abilities

  • Super – Storm’s Edge
  • Class Ability – Gambler’s Dodge
  • Movement Ability – Triple Jump
  • Melee Ability – Combination Blow
  • Grenade – Grapple Grenade

Exotic Armor and suggested weapons

Armor

  • Cyrtarachne’s Facade – Gain Woven Mail when activating a Grapple Grenade. Increased flinch resistance while Woven Mail is active.

Weapons

  • The Call Strand Sidearm (The Call is incredibly powerful in The Final Shape, but any Strand weapon will do).
  • The Recluse Void SMG (A Void weapon is mandatory for volatile rounds)
  • Hammerhead Void Machine Gun

3 best Prismatic Titan builds in Destiny 2

I play every class in Destiny 2, but I’m a proud Titan main at heart, and I’ve got some stylish builds to share with you. At first glance, the Prismatic looks a little lacking for the Titan, and a few staples, like Banner of War, are sadly missing.

Fear not; Prismatic Titans can still bring the pain. What better way to prove it than with the build I currently use for the Grand Master Nightfall?

Abeyant Leap Suspend Build

Suspending opponents is a wonderfully powerful debuff, and Titans can access it for free with their Prismatic Grenades. This build goes all in on Suspending targets and offers three ways to do it so you can almost chain the effect indefinitely.

Your game plan is to suspend everything you see while building Prismatic energy with your weapons. The Abeyant Leap Exotic Boots augment our Barricade to grant Woven Mail, which we lean on for damage resistance. While Prismatic, your Barricade is ready much faster, so you can spam it to suspend more targets along with your incredible Prismatic Grenades.

Aspects and Fragments

Aspects

  • Drengr’s Lash – Activate your Barricade to create a ripple in reality that travels along the ground, damaging and suspending targets it hits.
  • Consecration – While sliding, activate your charged melee to launch a wave of Solar energy. The wave damages and scorches targets as you leap into the air. While airborne, activate your charged melee again to slam into the ground and create an additional Solar wave that can ignite targets.

Fragments

  • Facet of Hope
  • Facet of Purpose
  • Facet of Devotion
  • Facet of Courage
  • Facet of Bravery
  • Facet of Protection

Abilities

  • Super – Twilight Arsenal
  • Class Ability – Towering Barricade (This is my preference, but Rally Barricade has a faster cooldown)
  • Movement Ability – Strafe Lift
  • Melee Ability – Frenzied Blade
  • Grenade – Shackle Grenade

Exotic armor and suggested weapons

Armor

  • Abeyant Leap Exotic Boots – Improved Drengr’s Lash. Gain Woven Mail when suspending targets.

Weapons

  • The Call Strand Sidearm
  • No Hesitation Solar Auto Rifle
  • Brigand’s Law Arc Sidearm
  • Hammerhead Void Machine Gun

Arc Thunderclap build

This is the first Prismatic build I used, and it embodies the spirit of the One Punch Titan like few others can. We use Thunderclap as our melee ability, and it hits so hard it can kill most enemies in a single-charged attack.

The build relies heavily on a one-punch kill to trigger buffs, so it’s unsuitable for all game content. That said, I beat the Legendary Final Shape campaign with it with zero issues, so it can’t be that bad!

Our Exotic helmet restores health whenever we kill with a melee attack, so we build into making Thunderclap as lethal as possible.

Aspects and Fragments

Aspects

  • Knockout – Critically wounding a target or breaking their shields infuses your melee attacks with Arc energy and increases melee range and damage for a short time. Defeating targets with melee attacks amplifies you and restores a portion of your health. Defeating more powerful targets increases the amount of health restored.
  • Drengr’s Lash – Activate your Barricade to create a ripple in reality that travels along the ground, damaging and suspending targets it hits.

Fragments

  • Facet of Purpose
  • Facet of Protection
  • Facet of Bravery
  • Facet of Dawn
  • Facet of Courage

Abilities

  • Super – Twilight Arsenal
  • Class Ability – Towering Barricade
  • Movement Ability – Strafe Lift
  • Melee Ability – Thunderclap
  • Grenade – Shackle Grenade

Exotic armor and suggested weapons

Armor

  • An Insurmountable Skullfort Exotic Helmet – Arc melee kills grant health and melee energy.

Weapons

  • The Call Strand Sidearm (You don’t have to use The Call, but I recommend a Strand weapon of some sort).
  • Luna’s Howl Handcannon
  • Edge Transit Grenade Launcher

We regain so much melee energy with our Exotic helmet that you can often chain charged Thunderclaps. These hits inflict massive damage and trigger a shopping list of buffs, including Radiance.

Prismatic Synthoceps build

The Synthoceps remain a top-tier Titan Exotic post-Final Shape as they significantly increase our melee damage. Prismatic Titans can use two powerful melee-focused Aspects, and they synergize perfectly with our Exotic armor.

As you’ve probably guessed, this is a build where we punch through the Solar System. Use your powered melee whenever you can and enjoy unraveling rounds with your Strand primary weapon.

Aspects and Fragments

Aspects

  • Consecration – While sliding, activate your charged melee to launch a wave of Solar energy. The wave damages and scorches targets as you leap into the air. While airborne, activate your charged melee again to slam into the ground and create an additional Solar wave that can ignite targets.
  • Knockout – Critically wounding a target or breaking their shields infuses your melee attacks with Arc energy and increases melee range and damage for a short time. Defeating targets with melee attacks amplifies you and restores a portion of your health. Defeating more powerful targets increases the amount of health restored.

Fragments

  • Facet of Protection
  • Facet of Purpose
  • Facet of Bravery
  • Facet of Courage
  • Facet of Balance

Abilities

  • Super – Twilight Arsenal
  • Class Ability – Towering Barricade
  • Movement Ability – Strafe Lift
  • Melee Ability – Frenzied Blade
  • Grenade – Shackle Grenade

Exotic armor and suggested weapons

Armor

  • Synthoceps Exotic Gauntlets – Being surrounded buffs damage and weapon handling.

Weapons

  • The Call Strand Sidearm (You can use any Strand weapon, but it’s an essential part of the build as it synergizes with our Facet of Bravery Fragment).
  • No Hesitation Solar Auto Rifle
  • Thunderlord Arc Exotic Machine Gun

There’s so much room for experimenting in the Prismatic Subclass; the builds in this guide only scratch the surface. I urge you to experiment with different Prismatic Fragments, as you might just stumble across something incredible!
