Tears Of The Kingdom Savage Lynel Bow Five Shot Burst

How to get a 5-shot bow in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

The magnificent five.

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will inevitably find some form of multi-shot bow during your travels. Not only can these bows fire off multiple arrows at a time, as the name suggests, but it also happens to do so at the cost of only one arrow from your inventory. Needless to say, these serve as some of the most powerful bows in the game. But although most multi-shot bows fire two or three arrows, there exists an even stronger variant that can let five arrows loose at once. This guide will cover how you can get your hands on this bow in Tears of the Kingdom.

Finding a five-shot bow in Tears of the Kingdom

Whichever method you choose, finding a five-shot bow will require a bit of luck. The most conventional method for obtaining this weapon involves defeating one of the White-Maned or Silver Lynels dotted around Hyrule. Doing so will cause them to drop the Savage Lynel Bow, which usually comes in its standard three-shot variant.

Every so often, however, the Lynel will leave behind a modified bow with a special five-shot bonus tied to it. This is a fairly simple solution on paper, but of course, actually finding and beating a Lynel is a different story entirely. Check out our Lynel guides if you want to know their locations as well as tips on how to fight them.

As it turns out, though, there exists another, more obscure method for acquiring a five-shot bow. This method makes use of the Rock Octorocks found within the Eldin region, which have a hidden property where they polish up and enhance weapons that you leave in front of them. Simply drop any three-shot bow in front of the Rock Octorok as it starts inhaling. It will suck the bow into its mouth and spit it out, granting it a random enhancement in the process.

One of these potential enhancements is, you guessed it, the five-shot bonus. Note, however, that you can only enhance one weapon per Rock Octorok. So to save time, you can save before enhancing the bow and reload your game until you get the perk you want.

Getting a five-shot bow in Tears of the Kingdom will end up worth the effort, as both the quantity and power of the arrows fired make a mockery out of most enemies in the game. And they become even more potent when combined with bullet time and increased damage through headshots.
