4X strategy Warhammer 40,000: Gladius announced

Slitherine are back with another 4X strategy called Warhammer 40,000: Gladius set in the sci-fi gothic universe.

A new “deep” storyline has been created for this new game and promises four different gameplay experiences depending on which faction is chosen. Space Marines, Astra Militarum (aka Imperial Guard), Orks and Necron characteristics will all differ which will affect how they interact with allies and enemies. Slitherine says this will give “virtually endless replay value”.

Apparently, there will be a “massive difference” between single player and multiplayer. The solo play will focus on the deep storyline with players leading their expansion from the ground up. The multiplayer will be more open-ended.

Slitherine will show more of the game on 1 December in a live Twitch stream on their channel. That will kick off at 7PM so mark the diaries now. Until then, here’s a quick look at Warhammer 40,000: Gladius in this first trailer.
