August 2016
Batman (Telltale): 2 August
Telltale want you to be playing as Bruce Wayne as much as the Bat in this new episodic series. Falcone, Harvey Dent, and Catwoman will all feature. The first episode is coming in early August.
Overcooked (Team 17): 3 August
This is a cooking game with a solo mode or co-op mode for up to four players. Chefs must prepare, cook and serve up dishes from a variety of locations such as street festivals, pirate ships, food trucks, haunted houses, frozen realms, fiery volcanoes and even outer space.
Little King’s Story (XSEED): 5 August
Originally a Wii exclusive, this real-time strategy “life simulator” title is coming to PC in HD-ified mode.
No Man’s Sky (Hello Games): 12 August
As of E3 2015, Hello Games’ massive space exploration sim is officially confirmed to be coming to the PC at the same time as PS4. Currently, it’s due in August.
Grow Up (Ubisoft): 16 August
A sequel to Ubisoft’s drunken robot title Grow Home was announced at E3 2016. Protagonist BUD will be joined by MOM, and Grow Up will be expanded to involve the whole planet.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (Square): 23 August
The classic Deus Ex franchise is back and our old friend Adam Jensen will be returning as the protagonist.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is set in 2029, two years after the end of Human Revolution, and things haven’t gone well since then. Mechanically augmented people are feared and loathed outcasts, many of whom are branded as terrorists, and many of whom are forced to live in aug-only ghettos under heavy police surveillance in what Eidos Montreal are rather dubiously calling “a mechanical apartheid”.

Worms W.M.D (Team 17): 23 August
The Worms franchise is what put Team 17 on the map and this latest version comes with a new look, hand drawn landscapes and this times there vehicles and the ability to enter buildings. It’s still going to be about blowing stuff up.
Attack on Titan (Koei): 30 August
Employ your best techniques for grappling around and slashing huge naked giants to death, as the Attack on Titan game arrives on Steam in August.
God Eater / God Eater 2 Rage Burst (Namco Bandai): 30 August
A busy day for western localisations as this pair of God Eater titles will also be released on 30 August. I’m not too familiar with this series, but it seems to slot in that ‘hunting’ genre with things like Monster Hunter (of course) and Toukiden
World of Warcraft: Legion (Blizzard): 30 August
The WoW saga continues, and if you’re still playing this, then well done to you for sticking with it. In this expansion there’s more stuff like the Burning Legion, another continent, the Demon Hunter Class, and so on.
September 2016
ReCore (Comcept/Armature): 13 September – Windows 10 only
Another Microsoft-published title making the hop to PC in 2016 will be Keiji Inafune’s ReCore. You’ll need Windows 10 if you want to play it, though.
Dead Rising (Capcom): 13 September
A first appearance for the original Dead Rising on PC. Uses the same framework as Dragon’s Dogma, so should turn out to be a similarly decent port.
Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 (Namco Bandai): 13 September
Joining the 13 September release date fest is this Pac-Man Championship Edition sequel.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 (Larian): 15 September – Early Access
The much-anticipated RPG sequel to Original Sin is very tentatively scheduled for a December release, but don’t be too surprised if that slips into 2017.
BioShock: The Collection (2K): 15 September
Compilation of the three BioShock titles, plus all DLC. Infinite isn’t getting any remastering on PC, but if you already own BioShock, BioShock 2 and/or Minerva’s Den through Steam you can upgrade those individual titles for free.
NBA2K17 (2K): 16 September
If you like putting the balls through the baskets, then the latest NBA2K title is here for you. I have no experience with the PC versions of these games, so hopefully there’s parity.
Cossacks 3 (GSC Game World): 20 September
Said to be a remake of the 2000 original, this RTS puts you in command of one of twelve 17th and 18th Century nations.
Oriental Empires (Iceberg Interactive): 20 September (early access)
A 4X turn-based strategy that promises to recreate the civilizations of ancient China where players are challenged to build a great empire by creating cities, raising armies and researching advance technologies. Fans of Total War might want to take a look at this one.

FIFA 17 (EA Sports): 27 September
The balls just never stop coming for FIFA. Significant additions to FIFA 17 include a switch to the Frostbite Engine, and a story mode called The Journey. Plus the usual tweaks to things like AI runs and set-pieces, naturally. 90% of people are just there to spunk money on Ultimate Team in any case.

Forza Horizon 3 (Playground Games): 27 September – Windows 10 only
A first appearance for the Forza Horizon series on PC, albeit only on Windows 10 machines. This one’s set in Australia, and has the same open-world driving set-up as previous titles in the series.
RIVE (Two Tribes): September 2016
Rive is a shooter/platformer combo with a side order of hacking. It says here that “players learn to alter the behavior of their robotic enemies by collecting and uploading hacks.”
Event[0] (Ocelot Society): September
Interact with an insecure AI that has over 2 million dialogue responses in this upcoming narrative title. It’s your only way back to Earth.
PES 2017 (Konami): Autumn 2016
Konami return with their annual footy outing. We expect to see this appear around September time. Will it be a bit shit on PC again? Turns out the answer is probably “yes”.
