March 2016
Far Cry: Primal (UbiSoft): 1 March
Far Cry Primal will be in-keeping with the open world sandbox style of the series, and is described as a “full-fledged” single player game. You’ll be playing as Takkar, a final surviving member of an unfortunate hunting group. He’ll be trying to survive, by mastering fire, hunting for food (sorry, mammoths), fending off sabre-toothed cats, crafting weapons (presumably of the Stone Aged melee and bow type), and clashing with other tribes in the land of Oros.

Alekhine’s Gun (Maximum Games): 1 March
A stealth game set in the 1960s, Alekhine’s Gun promises choice-based gameplay, open levels and noir elements.
Black Desert (Pearl Abyss): 3 March
One day I might be able to mention more about Black Desert than the impressive-looking character creation tool, but that day is not today. This Korean MMO is heading to the West early 2016, so we’ll learn more when that happens. It’ll probably be a bit grind-y.
Into the Stars (Fugitive): 4 March
Find a safe planet for humanity as you’re pursued through dangerous galaxies in this replayable, rogue-like space title.
The Division (Ubisoft): 8 March
Ubisoft hasn’t had a great track record with big budget titles of late, so we hope they don’t mess this one up. It’s due in March 2016. It also probably won’t look as good as the image above.
WWE 2K16 (2K Games): 11 March
2K will be bringing their spandex-filled WWE 2K16 title to the PC on 11 March, complete with a load of previously released DLC. The $50 asking price includes the main game (well, yes) and “all WWE 2K16 downloadable content”.
DEADBOLT (Hopoo Games): 14 March
DEADBOLT is a stealth-action title where you take control of the Reaper to stop an undead uprising. The game description is very strange, apparently missions are dished out by a “mysterious fireplace” which sounds nuts enough to make us want to play it. As the Reaper players will dart around rooms taking out undead while using the environment to their advantage.
Need for Speed (Criterion): 15 March
Another one of those “we have too many numbered and subtitled entries in this series now” reboots that goes back to using the original name. Criterion will be developing, along the five principles of “Speed, Style, Build, Crew, and Outlaw.” Whatever that means.
Day of the tentacle Remastered (Double Fine): 22 March
The classic adventure gets a makeover more than twenty years after the original was released.

Slain (Wolf Brew): 24 March
Action-platformer with a dash of gothic puzzling and metal sensibilities. Now due in March.
Paws (Might & Delight): 24 March
A spin-off from Shelter 2, in which you’ll have to guide a lost lynx cub to safety.
DreadOut: Keepers of the Dark (DigitialHJappiness): 24 March
DreadOut was an enjoyable horror romp (see our review) set in Indonesia which was a good mix of puzzle solving and spookiness. Keepers of the Dark a slightly different approach and begins before protagonist Linda’s last encounter with The Mysterious Lady in red. This is a standalone release and DH describe it as a “all-new boss rush mode with a free roam style approach”.
TrackMania Turbo (Nadeo): 25 March
This latest version comes with more than 200 tracks and popular tracks such as Canyon Grand Drift and Valley Down return along with with all new graphics, new car designs, and improved gameplay.
Dead Secret (Robot Invader): 28 March
Dead Secret is a VR title coming from Robot Invader where players will find themselves at the scene of a murder and tasked to solve the riddle of his death.
Adr1ft (Three One Zero): 28 March
Floaty space-survival in first-person, which looks tailor-made as a Virtual Reality title. It’s also apparently a metaphor for Adam Orth’s experiences on twitter, after he was fired from Microsoft for running his mouth about the proletariat not being able to afford always-online internet connections. Or something like that. Alternatively, you can ignore all of that and pretend it’s just about space.
Killer Instinct (Iron Galaxy): 29 March 2016 – Windows 10 only
Getting Killer Instinct on PC is certainly no bad thing, but it’s being developed by Iron Galaxy (most recently responsible for the Batman: Arkham Knight port) and is exclusively on Windows 10. So that dampens the enthusiasm for this 2016 release a little.
Ashes of the Singularity (Stardock): 31 March
Stardock’s planetary scale real-time strategy game is due at the end of March. It’ll support DirectX12 and everything. Oooh.
Eve: Valkyrie (CCP): 31 March
CCP’s VR shooter is one of the few VR games we’ve seen that looks to be a little special. It’s due out in Q1 but we’ll stick it in April as beta testing has not started as of January. EVE: Valkyrie has also been confirmed as an Oculus Rift launch title.
